Understanding the New Billing Model 

The New Billing Model is an innovative system designed to streamline and enhance the payment and billing processes. By transitioning to weekly payments and integrating directly with Stripe Connected accounts, Playtomic aims to provide clearer and more efficient transaction management.

 

Key Changes in the New System 🚀

Enhanced Billing Transparency

With the new process, all online transactions, including payments and refunds, can be viewed directly in your Stripe Connected account. This change ensures that you have a clear and immediate view of your financial activities.

Previously, invoices were issued every two weeks. Now, you will receive a monthly invoice from Playtomic, concerning commissions and referring to online payments made by users in the previous month. To clarify, this invoice is Playtomic billing you for the B2B fees that have already been charged. There is nothing to be paid, you just need to keep this for accounting purposes. 

 

Real-Time Payment Reception

One of the standout features of the NCM is the real-time receipt of booking funds. When a player books online, funds are immediately reflected in your Stripe Connected account, functioning like a digital wallet. Payments are transferred to you based on the payment date rather than the match date, ensuring timely receipt of funds.

💡 Keep in mind that the amount deposited into your Stripe Connected account, already has the Playtomic B2B fee removed. 

 

Weekly Payment Transfers

Instead of the previous 15-day payment cycle, funds will now be transferred to your account every 7 days. This weekly transfer includes all online payments made by users during that period, providing a more consistent cash flow.

 

Handling Split and Single Payments

For split-payment bookings, the fees for the booker will be transferred to your Stripe Connected account two hours after the match ends, due to the pre-authorization. The shares of other players, on the other hand, will be transferred immediately when they pay their share.

In the event that the other players do not pay their share, two hours after the end of the match, you will still receive the full price of the court. This is due to pre-authorization, which is used to guarantee the reservation. This means, no more debts and no more blocked players 🙌

Single payment bookings, on the other hand, are processed directly. Playtomic’s commissions are deducted in real-time, ensuring a seamless and transparent transaction process.

 

Invoicing your players

As the transactions are now conducted directly between the player and your club, it is your responsibility to generate invoices to report your sales.
