Kid's Academy & How to enroll kids in a course

If your club offers course classes for kids, you can now easily sell them using Playtomic! This guide will show you how to set this up.

Create a Profile for the Child

Children do not have their own profiles. Instead, they will be linked to a parent or guardian's profile. If the parent or guardian does not have a profile yet, you need to create one first. If you're unsure how to do this, follow the instructions in the article linked above, and then proceed with the steps below:

  1. Go to the Customers menu and search for the parent or guardian.
  2. Select the Family Members tab and click on the "Add family member" button.
  3. Enter the child’s name and save the information.

💡 The communication details for the child will use the family member’s email and phone number.

Enroll the Child in a Course

To enroll the child in a course, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Academy menu and select the Courses tab.
  2. Find and open the Kids Course you want to enroll them in.
  3. Click on “Add participant”. Here, search for the main profile that the child is linked to.
  4. Check the box that says “Add a family member as course participant.” Then, choose the family member you want to enroll from the drop-down menu.
  5. After adding the child, click the three dots on the right to view the family profile.

Family Members and the Payments List

Keep in mind that any payments made for the child will appear under the parent or guardian's name, not the child’s name.

Can I manage or create family members from the app?

No, family members can only be managed from the Manager side.

What information do I need to create a family member?

You only need the name, but you can include other details, like age, in the name field.

No, family members are not listed in the customer list. You can find them by searching for the main user and checking their family members.

How many family members can I create for one client?

There is no limit to the number of family members you can create for a client.

Payments are recorded under the main client’s name. Family members do not make payments.

Family members benefit from discounts applied to the family profile.

Can I enroll a family member in just one class of a course?

No, family members can only be enrolled in entire courses. In future updates, enrolling in single classes may be possible.

Can I enroll two family members in the same course with the same registration dates?

No, only one family member can participate per course with the same registration dates.
