Recurring Wallet Recharge for Categories

Overview

The Wallet Recharge feature allows you to offer your players a fixed monthly credit as part of their category benefits. This credit is automatically added to a designated wallet and can be used for eligible products during that specific month.

How It Works

When a player is assigned to a category with the Wallet Recharge benefit:

  • A fixed amount (e.g., €30) is automatically credited to a designated wallet
  • This balance can only be used for products you've specified (courts, activities, etc.)
  • The balance expires one month after the player is added to the category.
  • A fresh balance is automatically added on the same day each month when they were added to the category.
  • This process continues as long as the category remains active

Setting Up Wallet Recharge

Create a Dedicated Wallet

First, you'll need to create a wallet specifically for the category.

  1. When setting up a Category, create a new wallet
  2. Set wallet restrictions:
    • Eligible sports
    • Eligible courts
    • Eligible products
    • Time restrictions (if any)
  3. Important: Be sure that online recharge is not available for this wallet.

Important Details

  • Booking Windows & Usage

    Players can use their wallet balance to book courts within your club's standard booking window. If your booking window allows booking 30 days in advance, they can use their current month's balance to pay for future bookings within that window.

  • Cancellations & Refunds

    When a player cancels a booking paid with their membership wallet:

    • The funds are returned to their wallet
    • These funds remain subject to the same monthly expiration
  • Category expiration

    If the category expires:

    • Players will no longer have access to the wallet
    • Any remaining balance will not be available for use
    • No refunds are processed for unused wallet balances
  • One-Month Post-Category Assignment

    At the end of that month:

    • Any remaining balance in the membership wallet expires
    • Balances do not carry over to the next month
    • A fresh balance is added at the beginning of the next month if the membership is still active

FAQ

  • Can players add their own money to this wallet?

    No. The membership wallet cannot be recharged by players. It only receives the automatic monthly credit as part of their membership. However, the club can edit the wallet balance to add more credit.

  • Can I change the wallet amount after setting up the category?

    Yes, you can adjust the monthly recharge amount in your category settings. Changes will take effect from the next recharge cycle.

  • Will the wallet balance appear in payment reports?

    Bookings paid with the membership wallet will be indicated in the booking list. The automatic wallet recharges will not appear in the payment list, as they involve no actual money transaction.

  • Can I offer different wallet amounts for different categories?

    Yes, each category can be linked to a specific wallet with its own recharge amount.
