Chat option

Keeping everyone connected during a match is important, and Playtomic makes it easy with a chat room for each game. This chat lets players talk to each other, share messages, and stay in touch during the match.

Chat Access for Managers and Players

The chat room isn’t just for players—managers can join too! Using Playtomic Manager, managers can send messages to all players in the chat. This is great for giving quick updates, answering questions, or just staying involved with the team.

To join the chat you have two ways:

1. From a specific match or reservation

• Go to the schedule
• Select the match/private booking you want.
• Click on “Chat.”

2. From the chat section

• Go to the chat section on the left menu
• You will see all the list of chats

Once a manager joins, players will see that you’ve entered the chat, so they know you're there to communicate with them.

Push Notifications for Players

Whenever players get a message—either from the manager or another player—they will get a push notification on their phone. This keeps everyone updated on important information, like match details or team changes.

How do I get notified when someone writes in a chat?

As a club admin, you can get a push notification on your phone every time someone writes in a chat of your club. You don't need to join each chat yourself.

You get notifications from the chats of matches, tournaments and leagues of your club.

How to turn on chat notifications for an admin

1. Log in to Playtomic Manager with the Tenant Owner account.
2. Go to Settings > Club Admins.
3. Click the admin who wants to receive the notifications.
4. Turn on the Chats permission.
5. Click Save changes.
6. Ask the admin to log out and log back in to Playtomic Manager.
7. On their phone, the admin logs in to the Playtomic app with the same account and checks that notifications are turned on in the phone settings.

What should I know about these notifications?

• The admin receives a notification for each new message written by someone else in these chats.
• You can't choose which types of chat an admin is notified about.
• The admin also gets notifications with the read-only Chats permission.
• For chats that already exist, notifications start the next time something happens in that match, tournament or league, for example when a player joins or leaves.
