What is the initial state for the first round?
The initial state is Next, and it will change to Upcoming once the enrollment deadline has been reached, or if the league hasn’t expired due to a lack of minimum teams.
Can teams manage the line-ups of the league?
No, this feature has not been included yet.
Can league information (team names, groups, and rounds) be customized?
Yes, most of the information can be edited in the Settings tab.
What are the round statuses?
- Closed: Once the round has been played and closed by the manager.
- Upcoming: Teams can be moved (drag & drop) before setting match days and the calendar.
- Ongoing: The round is currently being played.
- Next: New teams can join if the league is not full.
- Future: No teams yet, as it belongs to a future league and might be cancelled.
League Creation
Are customizable prices for memberships available?
No, customizable membership pricing is not available in the current version of leagues.
How do gender restrictions work?
- Open: No restrictions.
- Male: Only men can join.
- Female: Only women can join.
- Mixed: Requires one man and one woman (for pair leagues).
How do level restrictions work?
- Restrictive level range: A team can only join if the average team level (calculated from player levels) is within the league’s level range.
- Informative level range: Any team, regardless of level, can join.
Can a manager launch a league to be played across multiple clubs?
No, leagues can only be launched and played in one club.
Can the league manager set more than one meeting per group and round?
No, only one meeting per group and round is allowed.
Can a manager launch a league for sports other than padel or tennis?
No, only padel and tennis leagues are supported at this time.
Can a club manager create leagues by categories?
No, leagues can only be created based on gender and levels, not by categories.
Can a manager set multiple groups for promotion and relegation?
No, teams can only move up or down by one group. However, managers can set the number of teams that will be promoted or relegated.
Managing an Ongoing League
Can managers cancel a league match?
No, managers can only reselect matches from the calendar, schedule, or match details tab.
Can managers edit league matches?
Yes, matches can be reselected on the calendar.
How are rounds managed?
Managers must manually run a new round after verifying that all teams, players, and groups are set, and after setting the match days calendar.
When are rounds closed?
Managers must manually close rounds once all matches are played and results are entered into the system.
Can managers manually create league bookings?
No, managers can only reselect league matches on the calendar.
When can managers remove a team from the league?
Teams can only be removed when the current round is in Next or Upcoming status.
When can managers change team players in the league?
Managers can only change players when the round is Ongoing, Next, or Upcoming. Players cannot be removed from teams in a Closed round.
When can managers set the next match days calendar?
The calendar can only be set when a round is in Upcoming status.
When can managers move teams between groups or resize groups?
Teams and groups can only be adjusted when the next round is in Upcoming status and the match days calendar has not yet been set.
How are matches arranged in the schedule?
Matches are automatically arranged based on the league settings, match days calendar, and court availability.
What can players do from the app?
- Join the league
- Request a league spot (if they don't meet the level range)
- Leave the league (before the enrollment deadline)
- Contact opponents or the league manager via chat
How are teams merged in an upcoming round by default?
When a round is closed, teams from the closed round are merged with new teams that have joined. Existing teams will move up or down based on league rules, and new teams will appear at the bottom of the list.
How are teams ordered by default?
Teams in the Next round are sorted by enrollment date, but managers can adjust this order in the Upcoming stage. Once the round changes to Upcoming, teams will be automatically sorted by level average.
Can managers request team availability for custom match arrangements?
No, but players can view the league’s timeframes in the league info section.
Can managers block schedule slots before finalizing matches?
No, matches are automatically arranged once the new round starts. You can only block slots using the recurring reservations feature, and remove them before running the new round.
Technical Details About Leagues
Which rounds can players enroll in?
New teams can always join the Next round, provided the maximum number of teams has not been reached. Keep in mind that current teams are calculated as the sum of teams in the Ongoing and Next rounds, or Upcoming and Next rounds.
Can players leave the league from the app once the league starts?
No, players can only leave before the enrollment deadline.
Can the second player of a team leave during the allowed time?
No, only the main player can remove the team enrollment before the deadline.
How does the points system work?
- Spanish Model: Points are awarded based on winning (in 2 or 3 sets), losing, ties, or walkovers.
- Sets Model: Points are given per set when the match score is incomplete.
Can managers open a waiting list for the league?
No, but players can join the league if it's not full. Current teams are calculated as teams in the Ongoing or Upcoming rounds plus those in the Next round.
Can players join a doubles league and wait for a partner?
No, players must select their partner when joining a doubles league.
Is it possible to charge players regularly (e.g., monthly)?
No, managers can only charge an up-front fee when players join the league.
