Store Setup: Configure Your Products

Creating products is the essential first step to start selling through your club's store. Before you can process any transactions or manage inventory, you need to configure the items you'll be offering to your customers. This guide will walk you through the product setup process to get your store up and running.

Step-by-Step: Adding Your Products

  1. Go to StoreProducts in your navigation menu
  2. Click the Add Product button in the top right corner
  3. Complete the product details form:

Required Information:

  • Product Name: Use clear, descriptive names that your staff will recognize
  • Product Code (SKU): Enter your own code or click auto-generate to create one automatically—this keeps your catalog organized
  • Category: Choose the main category: None, Shop, Bar, or Other Services
  • Subcategory: Add a more specific classification to help with reporting and organization
  • Tax: Set the correct tax rate for your country

Configuration Options:

  • Active: Toggle this on to make the product available for purchase immediately
  • Quick Access: Enable this for your most popular items—they'll appear as shortcuts on your POS main screen for faster checkouts
  • Stock Management: Turn this on if you want to track inventory and receive low-stock alerts

Tips for Success:

  • Start with your 10-15 most popular items before adding your full catalog
  • Use consistent naming conventions so your sales reports are easy to read
  • Enable "Quick Access" only for items your reception team sells multiple times per day
  • Group similar products under the same category and subcategory for better organization
  • Enable stock management for products that have limited inventory

Once you've added your products, you're ready to start processing sales at reception. Your team can access these products through the POS system, and you'll be able to view sales data and manage inventory from the Store dashboard.
